Housing: searching and getting help
F.Et.E. does not manage residences, allocate rooms or guarantee housing. Admission or a list of addresses is not a reservation. Start before arriving and budget for rent, a deposit and possible additional costs.
- Read the Welcome Desk housing guide to identify suitable organisations and procedures.
- For CROUS housing, check eligibility and application phases on MesServices.etudiant.gouv.fr. The DSE applies to eligible situations; international students may follow different procedures.
- Broaden your search through Mon Logement Étudiant, a public student-housing platform.
- Prepare the landlord’s requested documents and check eligible guarantees and assistance. An application is not a housing allocation.
For guidance: welcome-desk@drim.parisnanterre.fr. If you face financial difficulties or risk losing your accommodation, book a CROUS social-service appointment through MesServices.etudiant.gouv.fr and inform the office if your studies are affected. Assistance is assessed individually and does not guarantee a room.
Guarantees, support and choosing a residence
The API housing directory lists public and private residences, shared housing, adapted accommodation and ADIL advice. For a guarantee, deposit or rent support (Visale, Loca-Pass, CAF), check the conditions on the linked official websites. Support is not automatic and some schemes apply only to specific situations.
Consider towns with transport connections to Nanterre. Check the contract, total cost and landlord’s identity before committing. Welcome Desk partner housing is intended for specific groups, including exchange students; it is not housing reserved for every F.Et.E. student.
