Emergencies, security and health

Campus emergency: Security Control Centre 01 40 97 74 00 (7400 from an internal phone). In immediate danger, call emergency services: 112 (European emergency number), 15 (medical emergencies), 17 (police), 18 (fire and rescue). The 114 service provides accessible emergency reporting, including SMS for deaf or hard-of-hearing people.

State the building, floor, room, danger and number of people affected. Move to safety and follow instructions. Emergency and reporting contacts.

When the evacuation alarm sounds, stop your activity, follow marked exits and staff instructions, and go to the assembly point. Locate the displayed evacuation plan. If you need mobility assistance, plan the procedure with SHA and the relevant teams. Official safety and evacuation instructions.

For non-emergency care: SSE, 01 40 97 75 33, Ramnoux Building (E), room E05. Nursing care without appointment and medical or psychological appointments are available according to service availability. Hours, healthcare and appointments. Health consultations are confidential.

Disability and accessibility: prepare your visit

The Disability and Accessibility Service (SHA) advises on disability, disabling illnesses and temporary limitations. Contact: service-handicap@api.parisnanterre.fr; SHA information.

1. Contact the SHA early and describe the access or study adjustment you need.
2. Follow its instructions for assessment by the Student Health Service (SSE). Medical documents should be sent to the appropriate health professionals.
3. Once a decision has been made, arrange implementation with the designated contacts and your programme.

F.Et.E. reception is on the ground floor. Before travelling, email the office and SHA to confirm the route from the station, the entrance to use, access to the room or office and, if needed, lift availability. Give the date, time and meeting location, and describe practical assistance needs without attaching medical records. An accessible entrance or working lift is not guaranteed here without verification for the relevant location.

Financial difficulties, housing and daily life

Book a CROUS social-service appointment through MesServices.etudiant.gouv.fr. The SAiVE advises on one-off assistance and fee exemptions, subject to eligibility, deadlines and a committee decision: aide-vie-etudiante@api.parisnanterre.fr. For arrival in France and housing guidance: Welcome Desk, welcome-desk@drim.parisnanterre.fr. F.Et.E. provides guidance but does not allocate housing. All university support services.

Health insurance and solidarity

Health coverage procedures depend on your situation and country of origin. Consult Assurance Maladie: studying in France for enrolment and exceptions, including the European Health Insurance Card. F.Et.E. does not complete health-insurance registration for you.

The AGORAé solidarity grocery offers food support subject to conditions and assessment. Read the AGORAé procedure and confirm current application arrangements.

Sexist and sexual violence (VSS) and discrimination

If you experience or witness sexist comments, sexual harassment, assault, threats or the sharing of intimate images without consent, you can contact Université Paris Nanterre’s reporting unit for sexist and sexual violence: signaler-vss@egalite.parisnanterre.fr. It can receive reports about incidents on campus, online or outside the university, provided at least one of the people involved — the victim or the person reported — belongs to the university community.

The Centre for Equality and Non-Discrimination (CCEND) coordinates this service. Its trained team listens to you, receives your account and provides support; exchanges are confidential. The F.Et.E. office can help you find the right contact without collecting details of your situation.
