Placement test

The placement test is compulsory and takes place in person at Université Paris Nanterre. No remote test or exemption from the in-person test is available for selected DU FLE A2, B1 and B2 applicants.

eCandidat applications: from 20 October to 4 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Placement test: Friday 27 November 2026.

Venue: Université Paris Nanterre. The exact time and room will be stated in the individual invitation.

Duration: 60 minutes.

Applicants to DU FLE A2, B1 and B2 whose applications have been selected must attend the test. Applicants to DU FLE C1 and C2 are selected on the basis of their application and proof of language level and do not take this placement test.

Invitations are sent individually after the application review. Candidates must bring the invitation and a valid identity document. Admission depends on the application review, the test result where applicable and the number of available places. The final decision is communicated through eCandidat; the final response date has not yet been published.
